The 31st Legislative district of
New Jersey is tired
of broken promises and debt.
My goal is to help build a better economy, create jobs, and bring better education to the people in the district so they have the tools they need to do the jobs we create.
As a 30 year old American, I experienced first hand a multiplicity of social and economic change. Being born and raised in Hudson County, I have seen many factories close down, Bayonne’s military Ocean Terminal close, the prices of homes sky rocket and drop leaving owners upside down, hospital workers laid off along with many others, and more. The impact this had was detrimental to the community and country. Many people are out of work and with few jobs available most will be unemployed until chance comes their way.
We need to bring back fiscal responsibility and make sure we don't pass on the burden to the next generation. We also need smaller government. This historic election will be one where the people ensure a safe and secure future for the next generation. Our decisions today will affect tomorrow.
We need to get back to our principle that every American deserves to run their own life.
We need private sector job creation.
People in New Jersey, care about the fact that we are running an all time record level deficit.
The spirit of America will take us to new heights. We must encourage small businesses to be innovative, encourage and harness the great American entrepreneurialship, because Americans can do anything.
We were promised if we spent 787 billion dollars in stimulus, unemployment would be no more than 8%.
Right now, we are at a Country unemployment rate of 9.6% 20% higher than promised!
While Hudson county unemployment – 19.1% ,
The 31st district's unemployment rate is 16% higher than the national average! And, almost 40% higher than what was promised!
New Jersey is ranked 12th for Foreclosures. We need new legislation. One that will truly stimulate Real Estate transactions.
The current stimulus is not working. Voting based on party lines and not in the interest of the people will be a thing of the past.
New Jersey is heading in the wrong direction and we need a change.
We need to stop using New Jersey's check book! When households are forced to tighten their belts, the state must do the same.
We need new programs to recruit, train, and retain the highest quality teachers. This is New Jersey's future at stake.
Reducing attractiveness of the profession or firing weak teachers does not work! Judging a teachers success based on the students test score on a single day is inadequate. Our evaluation system is broken. Teachers want, need and deserve feedback; they need to know the impact of their work. Instead of just a single score we need more in classroom evaluations. We need to consider improvement and not just pass/fail.
It has been years since Brown v. Board of Ed. and we still have not yet filled that requirement. We need to put more energy into recruiting and support the good teachers that we have.
The weight of New Jersey's future is on the line, shouldn't we all take responsibility and help out.
Our current representative is neglecting the district and the people want change. We need our voices to be heard in Trenton.
New Jersey’s 31st District will be my number one priority. It’s time to put the people first.
